The PMI Serbia Chapter is the leading Serbian not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession in Serbia and the region. The chapter aims to develop and promote global standards in project management. Since its establishment in 2001, the PMI Serbia Chapter has been an integral part of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the foremost international association of project managers. Founded in 1969, PMI is now the largest and most prestigious project management association in the world, with over half a million members from 185 countries.
The PMI Serbia Chapter boasts over 270 professionals working in project management, 150 of whom hold one or more of these globally recognized PMI certifications: PMP®, PgMP® and CAPM®. Our members serve in leadership positions in national and international companies like Telekom Serbia, Nokia Siemens Networks, Telenor, VIP Mobile, Nelt, Energoprojekt, HP, Ericsson, Saga, PS Telefonija, DDOR, Komercijalna Bank and Raiffeisen Bank. Members are mostly based in Serbia and the region, however a number of them also live and work in Canada, Australia, the U.S. and EU countries. Our members work predominantly in the following areas: information technology, telecommunications, and the financial and the construction sectors. We are pleased that one-third of our membership and one-third of our certified professionals are women.
PMI Serbia Chapter Objectives:
- To Promote and Contribute to Development and Improvement of the Project Management profession
- To Promote PMI Methodology (Practice and Theory) in the Region
- To get PM Theory and Practices embodied in the Business Processes of Corporations, Government Institutions and other relevant Entities in the Region
- To encourage the Exchange of PM skills, Experiences and Ideas between Local and International Organizations and Individuals
